A guide for beginners photographers

We do not immediately make an artist out of you. However, if you use our five tips, your photos will look better than the pictures you snapped during your last holiday. Taking the camera into your hand, you need to keep in mind:

  1. ... perspective
Standing on guard, you will rarely do an interesting photo. Photos are boring just through the wrong perspective. "Frog Shot" (from below) can make the portrayed object grow. In the picture taken from above you will show the background, context. It is worth to use every opportunity to change the height from which you usually photograph. Entering the slope, the wall or the stairs will make the set of photos more varied. Remember your safety! Even the most attractive shot is not worth the broken leg.
  2. ... light
It is worth learning how to use them appropriately. Especially if you want to make really delightful pictures. First of all: do not use the flash at all. And certainly not when the subject is far from you. Why? Because this natural light best produces shapes, colors and textures, it gives plasticity photos and introduces a third dimension. The best time to take pictures? Morning or evening. Around noon, the sun shines from above, resulting in very high contrasts. Artists talk about so. "golden hour" - just before sunrise are the best lighting conditions. As you can see it sometimes pays to get up a little earlier than usual.
  3. ... composition
Probably already at school you have learned about the golden division - the mathematical ratio, which is supposed to define the ideal composition. For memory: Imagine that your shot separates four lines (two horizontal and two vertical) and divides the frame into nine equal parts. The four points of intersection of these lines are the strong points of the frame. Make sure that the subject is in these areas. Although of course all rules can be broken. Are you shooting the sunset? It is worth setting the horizon slightly lower or higher rather than the center of the image. This will make the shot become dynamic. Remember the "broken gold", but do not hesitate to break it when you think your work can benefit from it.
  4. ... second plan
Before you press the shutter button, check the edges of the frame and the surroundings of the subject. The most important thing is to make the picture neater and the main theme is well-exposed. So much theory, but what does this mean in practice?
