Mont Orgueil Castle overlooks Gorey harbour in Jersey. Exotic flowers in full bloom on the seaside promenade in summer on this British Island.

An hour flight took me to this paradise island one July. EasyJet flies the route from both London Gatwick and Luton airports (price from £50 return).
The island's capital, Saint Helier, is the liveliest spot on the island. There is a local Liberty bus service to nearly everywhere and tickets are sold quickly and easily on board. Bear in mind Jersey has its own Jersey pounds but credit and debit cards are widely accepted.
A pleasant coastal walk from St Catherine's Breakwater, going past Archirondel Tower, ending at Mont Orgueil Castle makes a really enjoyable outing here.
Looking at this fortress, I was thrown back in time, trying to picture ladies in fancy long garments walking up and down the promenade and how uncommon in the olden days it was for a woman to travel. We still remember a few nowadays like the courageous British explorer and photographer Isabella Bird.
How lucky we are now just being able to walk barefoot along a beach wearing just a pair of shorts and a T-shirt if we wish.
Safe travels and keep exploring!

This has been posted as a "50/50" but I commit myself to transfer SBD to SP to Power Up 100% based on the program's rules.
Isn't Britain going to send a couple of warships here? Or am I confusing something? ))
Beautiful view)
You are very right indeed. We've not seen much of them since Brexit so just sending few little ships to say hello. Hopefully it won't turn into repeat of the Cod Wars..
Politicians are going crazy, it is not known how it will end. Hope the world :)
