Maria (PowerUp 100%)

Happy Friday! We are all looking forward to the weekend to catch up with family, friends or pets. Maybe in a different order? Or just anticipating it so we can devote some time to improving a skill? Cooking, sports..? Photography - if you ask me. So seems to me that this is the right time to introduce you to some people I met on the way, while traveling.

So, there she is - Maria! We crossed paths in the busy streets of downtown Lima in Peru. Great place for shopping by the way. But who is she? Maria? I don't even know her name to be honest. Is this a Peruvian name at all? Don't research it..She is Maria to me, so take it or leave it.

I was out shopping in the city centre with a group of women of all ages and I just managed to negotiate the price of two cabs to take us back to our accommodation. Well done me. Hold on, there is more to it. I don't want to brag about my not at all fluent Spanish.

So then, I just saw her, right there. Camera out, quick settings..She is still there, still smiling. I dare to say she seemed interested in me in a way as I was in her. And lucky me, I managed to capture this sincere smile of Maria, who I assume has been at the local market since early hours trying to sell these locally sourced flowers she was still carrying. She didn't try to sell us any.

All it takes is a smile. Keep smiling. Regardless what is on your shoulders.
