The calm before the storm

We all know those little moments. It's almost eerie and then the bang, like thunder then a pause and then that crack of lightning.

There you are having a barbie in the backyard and then suddenly everything goes quiet. No air moving and even the birds bugger off to their nests quickly. The air changes and before you know it clouds appear, those kinds that tell you their not messing around, sort of like an ex just before a breakup.

You now disappear into the house as the drops start falling and stop to ask yourself what just happened, sort of like getting blindsided by that faulty partner that slaps you with a breakup out of nowhere. You now question the calm before the storm?

Well with the weather it's due to a change in atmospheric pressure, in your ex, well it was probably hormones, theirs or someone else's. Still sucked, but hey. Who or what is to blame in the case of war? Who or what is to blame in the case of failed economies? Who or what is to blame in the case of overpopulated countries spiraling out of control? Who is to blame when one country stays behind while another thrives and all hell breaks loose? No matter the storm, there is always that calm little moment before shit gets real and there will be shit and many reasons for it and no one will want to hear the truth.

Bottom line is people don't want to hear the truth and or deal with and this problem is growing with all the safe spaces being dished out and trust me, it's not making things better. The calm will come and so will the storm. People mess up pretty bad and take no responsibility for their actions, it's either the planet that pays, the animals, children or the elderly.

What about thinking of that calm moment before the storm as your moment to correct. Don't hurt that person, don't spend that money, don't hurt that child and if you can't afford one don't have one, don't start that war, etc. I do, I think it's a moment set aside for us to be able to solve the problem we haven't started.

Let's think about how are investment in this platform is going to affect the rest of the community. Use that calm little moment before the storm
