ASSASSINATION OF WORSHIP - JEAN CARLOS SALAZAR
On Wednesday, December 10, 2008, the evangelical pastor of the World Peace Center, Jean Carlos Salazar Requena (30) attended with his wife Ingrid Rafaela Higuera (33), who was two months pregnant, and his daughter Karla Saraí Salazar (4) ) to a religious event at the Hotel La Redoma, in El Tigre.
According to other members of the CMP, the pastor was fasting, and at the end of the event, he met with the cell group to study the bible. It was about 8:00 p.m. Nothing out of their common routine.
According to the statements of the family's neighbors, a gray taxi left them at 9:00 p.m. at their home, located between Caracas street and Rondón street in El Tigrito (San José de Guanipa), Anzoátegui state. At 3:30 am on December 11 of the same year, Kaína González, neighbor of the pastor, woke up exalted by a strong smell of burning. As he leaned out of the window, he noticed smoke coming out of his neighbors' yard. Immediately he called the fire department of El Tigre.
According to the El Tiempo newspaper review, when the commission arrived to put out the fire, they noticed that it came from one of the rooms. However, the main door was not forced. Once the fire was extinguished, part of the roof was broken so that the smoke circulated and so that the inquiries could be made inside the house.
The bedroom doors were closed, but upon opening them the amazement of those in charge was greater: the body of Pastor Salazar was on the floor, gagged, face down, burned and decapitated. His head was near the bed. In another room was the body of Ingrid Rafaela, also face down, decapitated and with the body 50% calcined. His head was on the ironing board.
One of the most scandalous scenes was the one in the bathroom: the four-year-old's lifeless body was naked, beaten and bathed in blood.
The most chilling were the phrases with satanic messages written with blood on the walls as "Satan give you these souls." The house looked like something out of a horror movie.
The bodies were lifted 14 hours later by a special group sent from Caracas. From that moment, the respective investigations began. The CICPC took statements from relatives, acquaintances and even the taxi driver who left them at home.

A publication of the newspaper El Vistazo revealed that some witnesses stated that they saw five men and a woman knocking on the door that night looking for spiritual help. They wore black clothes and had several piercings in their bodies. Because of these characteristics, they began to investigate urban, rock, metal and satanic tribes.
After knowing this fact, the streets of El Tigre and El Tigrito were filled with placards with photographs of the family with messages demanding justice.
Among the inquiries came the name of Publio García Canales (cousin of Diosa Canales), alias "El Morfo", leader of Clan Nación 01. However, at the time of questioning, García denied any connection with the case and justified himself saying that his The group was not satanic and was simply in charge of rescuing young people with drug problems.
On December 14, Pedro Rafael Solórzano Freites, who at that time was 23 years old, walked through the central sector of the municipality with two people showing drawings of the massacre. This fact seemed suspicious to a woman who walked by the place and immediately called the authorities
) Solórzano became the main suspect and was interrogated. However, they only took the drawings and his statement and released him.
The case remained for 10 months until in November 2009, it was investigated by the CICPC detective, Francisco Sanchéz, who sent the drawings to a specialist in grafotecnia. The results of the study linked Solórzano to the triple homicide and he was immediately captured and sentenced to eight years in prison.
In the middle of the interrogations, Solórzano declared that he was not the one who murdered them and revealed five names that, according to him, had committed the crime: Zombie, Nitro, Morfo, Dragma, and La Muerte. Although he did not initially reveal their names, it was not difficult to find them. Days later, Publio García Canales, alias "El Morfo", 26, his wife Marisela Padrino "Dragma", 22, Luis Aguilarte "zombie", 22 and Carlos Adan González, 20, "el nitro". They were arrested.
Only the arrest of José Manuel del Moral "La Muerte", 23, was pending, but he volunteered after hearing that they were looking for him.
As the years passed, these five young men were still detained, investigated and on trial. The relatives of the victims demanded justice, but they did not get answers. On one occasion, the Venezuelan TV personality, Diosa Canales, expressed on her Twitter account that her cousin was innocent.
Almost a decade later, on Friday, March 16, trial court 3 in the Metropolitan area of Caracas sentenced three of the five involved in the well-known "Guanipa Massacre" to 18 years in prison.
The newspaper El Tigrense published on its website that "Nitro", "Zombie" and "La Muerte" admitted the terrible events that occurred in 2008. This confession was preceded by the version of the first suspect, Pedro Solórzano. In this way they received accusation for crimes of homicide for futile and ignoble motives, lascivious acts and burning of abode. The judge ordered that the three remain at the prison of El Rodeo I in Guatire, where they have been since the case passed from Anzoátegui to Caracas. On the other hand, the woman was taken to the Inof, in Los Teques.
Currently, the trial continues against "Morfo" and "Dragma", who have not admitted anything in the hearings.
The reason for the triple homicide that shocked the entire southern area of Anzoátegui state remains a mystery. Meanwhile, the authorities in charge continue with the pertinent investigations.
