of Holy Scripture into English or other dialect . . . furthermore, that no book of this kind be read.

The individuals who translated it into English, (for example, William Tyndale) were slaughtered. Others were scorched at the stake for saying the Lord's prayer in English. Just a couple of years back, it was a criminal offense in numerous communists nations to have a Bible in your ownership.

A testament is a pledge or an understanding.
So the two sections of the Bible just record two pledges, each amongst God and men.
The Old Testament recounts occasions from the creation of man to around 400 years before Jesus Christ was conceived. It gives God's word as it relates especially to the general population of Israel.
In contrast, the New Testament records God working with individuals through his child,Jesus Christ. In the New Testament it becomes clear to all that God's promises are to all individuals, not simply to Israelites.

Numerous Christians read just the New testament, this is a grievous mistake. It isn't possible to completely comprehend the New testament without reading the Old testament. Not to overlook what Jesus stated:

“You diligently study the scriptures because you think that by them you possess eternal life. These are the very scriptures that testify about me.”
John 5:39

The Bible is a book of astonishing variety;
read the Bible and you will discover a blend of

  • Knowledgeable history

This subject is the connection between God and people—a subject of affection and salvation.

The Bible is acclaimed to be the real expression of God, who made and manages the universe, and subsequently the bible sets down principles for living and the outcomes of obedience and noncompliance.

great wisdom

and difficult teachings.

The bible does contain these things that its why it needs to b studied exclusively!

"that nobody from this time forward without anyone else expert decipher any content
of Holy Scripture into English or other dialect . . . furthermore, that no book of this kind be read"
Very true. God expects that we do things right by studying the scripture.

The Old Testament prophet Jeremiah quoted these words from God: "'Is not my word like fire,' declares the LORD, 'And like a hammer that breaks a rock in pieces?'" ( Jeremiah 23:29 ). If the Bible is the Word of God, it is the most important work of literature on the planet. It is important for both what it says and what it does.

The bible is the uncontestable word of God ,and the oldest account of the world.
The Bible is the best book yet. It encompasses every writing, teachings we could ever seek are embedded in it. All we could seek or find could all be found in the Bible. Such divine book.

The bible is indeed very unique! Great post, well researched.

The Bible is in many ways and terms unique, it's like the road to salvation, if you follow it earnestly, only good will come and it is the ultimate guide to doing the work of God.

The question is, is there any book as great as the Bible, the answer is no, because the Bible has the answers to solve all problems of the world.
