"Africa". A waste land? or a land of dreams.

Whenever you hear the name, "Africa". What comes to mind?
'A waste land', 'A black man's hell', 'A shit hole', 'A corrupted and uncivilized continent'. Did you really think I'll continue? I guess you thought wrong.
"Africa". The land of hope, dreams and possibilities. The mother land to 56 different countries, and the second largest continent on the world both in land area and population. A land of the 'Blacks', land of heroes, billionaires, and 'Jesus'. (I guess he's black too).

We have fought wars, seen nations fall, the mass dying, heroes giving their lives for the masses, disease outbreaks, people sold into slavery and an endless list too long to mention.

But amongst all these, we still stand strong, ever fighting, never giving up on hope, always carrying up our torches, giving the younger generations a cause to fight for. (Damn, I feel like I'm on cloud nine right now).

Africa is the people, not the government, nor the land. Whenever we go, we are a symbol of peace, hope and strength.

I don't care, cause wherever I am, whoever I am or whatever I am going to be. I am an African, I'm black and I'm blessed.
