Wednesday Yellow- Things Very Mellow
Information Overload!
Every day we're bombarded with crazy sounds, smells, colors, emotions, and of course...stress.
All too often this busy world we live in squeezes out the enjoyment of life. Society tries to convince us that we have to make enormous sacrifices, jumps and leaps in order to find pleasure or enjoyment.
This desensitization to all these wonderful senses that we take for granted, the information overload coupled with everyday stress has unfortunately driven many people into depression.
*Depression can be a severe medical disorder, and people with medical depression should absolutely be checked out by a specialist.
My advice to the down.
To those who are down, having a bad day, stressed out,... Go somewhere quiet, take a deep breath and look around you.
The crazy crack in the wall, shapely shadows on the floor, that chair with a wobbly leg and so on. Everywhere we look there is something unique, a story, an emotion,... Don't rush the moment, embrace it. You'll realize that many of your problems and anxieties are not that important.
Remember how small you are, but at the same time how big your world can become if you embrace the beauty and uniqueness around you.
Taken on an Olympus OM-D E-M10 Mark II
Why did I take this?
I was feeling a little down, cold inside, trapped, overwhelmed.
Lifting up my head, my eyes were caught in a glance of this seemingly mediocre scene.
It might not seem like much at first glance, but it reminded me, personally, of a sunset in a desert. It gave me a sense of calm, peace, tranquility.
Though it was already dark, I felt the warmth of a desert sunset. Though all the windows were closed, I felt the desert wind. Though I was nervous and trapped, I felt tranquil and free.
Our mind can take us out of our slumps and on amazing journeys... if we just let it and embrace the uniqueness and beauty around us.
So keep on embracing!

Just for a contrasting point of view :-)
Yup, we all have a few screws loose.
Who's going to tighten them @onceuponatime?
Wise and deep words, we should take more moments to embrace and appreciate what's around us
True @airmatti. Thanks for your comment;)
Once I read your description of why you took the photo It became even more interesting. Would you consider yourself a deep thinker?
No...I'm just a guy that likes to tinker;)
And write poetry!

For being down you have quite an exquisite way of puting a story to it :D
Sometimes it's good to be down;)
Thanks!
Embracing a moment and having this understanding that this is the moment you exist can make a huge difference if you are having a bad day. All these small details around you, that you usually do not notice show the magnitude and magic of the existence. You have to learn how to be happy and find joy in small things :) Thank you for sharing :)
