MAYONNAISE WITH AVOCADO AND CILANTRO

in #recipe6 years ago

I made this mayonnaise of avocado and coriander to serve as a dressing or sauce to accompany empanadas. This dip or mayonnaise spicy dressing with avocado and cilantro is prepared with avocados (avocados), cilantro, mayonnaise, lemon juice, a little garlic, and Jalapeño Tabasco Verde sauce to taste.

It's a super easy sauce to prepare, it's just a matter of putting everything in the blender or in a mini food processor. The amount of hot sauce can be adjusted according to your preference, but one of the things that I like about Tabasco Verde sauce is that it is super soft and not very spicy.

In case you can not find the sauce you can use a little chili or fresh chili if you wish. Also for those who prefer a lighter sauce, you can use yogurt or sour cream instead of mayonnaise. This spicy avocado mayonnaise with cilantro can also be used as a dressing or condiment for sandwiches and salads, and also for serving with fish, seafood or chicken.

Ingredients

1/2 cup mayonnaise, purchased or homemade, you can also use plain yogurt or sour cream
1 ripe avocado
1 bunch of coriander, only the leaves and slightly chopped
1 garlic clove, crushed
2 tablespoons of lemon juice
2 to 3 tablespoons of Tabasco Verde sauce, adjust to your liking Salt to taste

Preparation

Put all the ingredients in a mini-processor or in the blender, if you want less spicy, just put a spoonful of Tabasco and then you can add more if you wish.
Blend well until you get a very smooth and creamy sauce. Taste and adjust Tabasco and salt to taste. If the sauce is very spicy, then you can add a little more mayonnaise or lemon to decrease the spicy flavor.
The sauce can be prepared beforehand and kept refrigerated until the moment of serving.
