Exsplaining Steemit
So after some time on steemit and trying to learn how everything works. I finally felt comfortable enough to talk to someone about what i was doing...unfortunately.
I had exsplained that you write blogs. People with influence upvote and the upvotes carry a monetary value.
I was met with a lot of judgement... like alot. 1st thing they wanted to know was where does the money come from... It is hard exsplaining to hard headed people... After exsplaining that it is simalar to bitcion where the market value is generated and that it is released to us after a fashion...(a loose description).
After convincing them its viable and can actually pay. They always come up with the same ponzie scheme of getting something like 20 poeple to join. They think its a get rich quick thing. Then im forced to tell them new people are worth vary little..
Its funny how people are willing to hear you out when they can make an instant success but when it comes to doing some work they drop out quite fast....
it is hard to explain. Biggest question I get is well, then, where does this money come from.
but at the end of the day we are contributing to this website which is boosting this websites rank , traffic, etc. I'm not sure how the currency is really generated, though. I understand its blockchain but I at the end of the day still don't get it.
Hey there. So yes exsplaining it is quite the mission. Think of bitcoin for a sec. Bitcoin can be mined even tough it is a cyber currency right. It is generated by working out complex math forms used for various transactions. So thats a basic. I have to assume Steem works in a simalar way.
