the purpose of your desert
does so with specific purposes in every situation or occasion. Moses is r
eminding the people of Israel of the 40 years of their journey through t
he desert and, at the same time, he is telling them the Why and for what?
God had brought them down that desert road. Four things are what Moses
mentions as God's plan in their lives: to afflict them, to test them,
to know what was in their heart, to know whether they should keep
his commandments or not.
After Moses had made his share of mistakes and found a way to serve in the wilderness, God met him right where he was and called him to free His people. Despite the trials of yesterday, Moses still had a purpose and a future. Everything would be different this time because Moses didn’t have to try to do it on his own. God would do the work through him. All God wanted was his availability.
