Camping the Superstition Mountains
The legendary Superstition Mountains. Camped at the Lost Dutchman State Park.
This was an incredible experience. We experienced two major thunderstorms at night and I was concerned about flash flooding.
If you haven't seen the Superstition Mountains in Arizona outside Mesa, you need to see it. You also need to visit the historic districts of Apache Junction and Mesa. Pinal County is huge, and my whole family lives here under the massive and amazing Superstitions.
If you come here, make sure not to hike in areas that are not approved. Mny helicopters search for lost and injured hikers. Take it as a lesson.
