Tribute to my dad...
Today, 4 years ago
Four years ago, it was a grey, cold winter day... My father passed away after 3 years of fighting against brain cancer. He was completely exhausted and his life quality was just not there anymore.
It was best for him that he could "go", but that does just not make the pain go away.
Still, I try to turn that pain into something positive, and watch some pictures of him, playing with my kids.
Listen to his favourite songs, etc...
It is not a very productive day for me, but this feels good, a day remembering my dad. As much as I can, And tonight together with my wife and kids, we go and visit his grave.
And to end, I share one of his favourite songs, "Why can't we live together" by Timmy Tomas. A song that couldn't be more telling on a day like this.

Sorry to hear about your dad @pele23 i have a hate for diseases like cancer, I see nothing wrong with having a day unproductive thinking about such a big figure in ones life.
Thanks for the compassion, it is a hole that will never get filled. But luckily the good memories lighten me up!

Sorry to hear that. It sounds your father was a really good person. My father is still alive, but he’s having some health problems himself at the moment. It’s hard to put a price tag on health. Good to see you have some great memories of your dad!

Sorry to hear about your dad passing away, especially in those circumstances.
It is good that you have some nice positive memories of him though.
It's every mans dream to have a family that loves him. Sounds like your dad was a good man. Sorry, he is no longer with is.
