[FOOD IN KOREA 1] a simple meal of noodles 간단하게 먹자유! 짜장면 나가사키 짬뽕

Had a quick dinner with a friend. We went to JJambbong Jib (짬뽕집) which is a Chinese (Chinese- Korean fusion) restaurant chain. I got the black bean noodles (jjajangmyun/ 짜장면).

Its counterpart is the spicy seafood noodle (jjambbong/ 짬뽕)- not pictured. Both are regarded as good hangover foods(haejang/ 해장). Both are hearty and can warm you up after a night of heavy drinking... and puking.

JJajangmyun V.S. jjambbong. It's one of those things that can divide people. Personally, I like jjambbong more, but I like to alternate between the two noodles.

Back to the meal- this restaurant has free rice, which you can add to leftover soup or sauce. I could not pass up on the opportunity after finishing my noodles. Typical me.

The restaurant also has stamp cards. After getting 8 stamps, you can get fried dumplings as service (service= free stuff in Korea). After 15 stamps, the reward is fried pork! The shitty thing is that one VISIT rather than one DISH counts as one stamp. FAK.
