PEAKMONSTERS UPDATE - Preparing UI for delegations, bids update and more

Just a quick update about what we're doing over on https://peakmonsters.com

BID UPDATE

There have been a few important changes on steemmonsters that we need to catch up on and bids is one of those things.
First of all it's not very public knowledge but on steemmonsters you can list a card for up to 3 decimal places.

This means we're updating PeakMonsters

  1. Soon you'll be able to list a card at 3 decimal places
  2. Bids have always been doable at 3 decimal places and now they'll pick up cards listed at that amount of course.
Some people were used to making a .029 bid and picking up only .02 listings.
  3. But now people have a way to list those cards that way in a UI. (important to note this was always an option there just wasn't an interface that facilitated it)

IMPORTANT: In short this is your notification that your bids may be fulfilled at the price you state. We may still be able to save you some money specially if people are listing using steemmonsters ui. But also if you're listing your cards you really should be using peakmonsters specially after we update to allow a 3rd decimal point.

PRE-DELEGATION WORK

As we designed what we want to do for delegations we looked at the User Experience we'd like to create and realize we need to upgrade some UI stuff to prepare for delegation.

One very simple reason:

... we want a renter to be able to rent quickly and easily and in bulk. If they had to do it one at a time it would be so tedious we're worried if they would actually do it. This means we should be implementing several UI changes that make everything quicker and easier throughout the whole site.

MORE FOUNDATIONS FOR DELEGATION

Delegation system needs proper information for renters and owners to make proper decisions

  • For example value of card
  • But not just value at the BCX it's at but at the base bcx of that level.
Doesn't matter if it's 2 off of leveling up when you rent it... it only matters what level it's presently at.
  • We also want to make synchronize some of the experiences of how to display information.

Why are we creating a delegation system?

It's no secret that, as I did the math we realized, that peakmonsters wouldn't directly make a lot of money off of delegations system (certainly not to justify the time and energy), we will mostly benefit from the impact having this delegations UI will benefit the whole health of the game. Also in that we will have lots of new players coming to peakmonsters because of the delegation system.

  • Bring in lots of new users to SteemMonsters via renting decks
  • Introduce lots of new users to PeakMonsters
  • Likely help the health of market prices
  • Help big bcx investors stay happy and not selling
  • Keep the big buyers using peakmonsters
  • Also I'm happy i can rent out some of my own 50,000 bcx of cards. (@jarvie)

RECAP

So in short you can expect all functions to be faster and easier and a thoughtful design with great information to help buyers/sellers/bidders/renters and owners make good decisions. But make them fast and easily ... because our users likely value their time and want to get back to life and playing some steemmonsters.

Sort:

I honestly can't wait for steemmonsters card leasing marketplace

Great approach @peakmonsters and I agree that a good functioning UI is key to get users hooked to the new delegation market.
Also very important are all the information around it like how is the Rent rate calculated?
How long are the cooldown phases after delegating and so on...

Thanks for the article, I went to adjust my BIDs.

most people don't even know they can do 3 decimal listings yet so there won't be too much of it. But some people will know. Also most listing I'm guessing is done using SteemPeak presently

Great to see you guys pushing the limits of the marketplace and its evolution instead of waiting for the project team! Looking forward tk seeing what you come up with so I could potentially use for the Beta Collection I have bot even touched yet!

Thanks for the update. I think PeakMonsters has a better UI than SteemMonsters does for dealing with collections, but there are also some little things that could be improved. I don't like to complain about that stuff, because a> I don't know what is going behind the scenes, b> it's free for me to use PeakMonsters, and c> I know it'll be better with every update.
