Interesting that 4 of the top 10 are religious figures. The rest are basically scientists (Columbus is an explorer, but still focused on discovery). In the book, Homo Deus: A Brief History of Tomorrow, the author discusses that throughout history religion and science have been at battle. Fundamentally, religion is focused on order and status quo while science is focused on progress and power. The top 10 influencers of the next century are much more likely to be scientists or technologists. Elon Musk, Steve Jobs, Vitalik Buterin, Satoshi Nakamoto -- who else would you put on the list?
