I am here again to participating in the season-9 week-5 of the steemit engagement challenge contest in my beloved @RECREATIVESTEEM community. This week’s topic is SEC - S9W5: "The Internet, my best ally". So Let's start,

What activities do you do online?

The importance of the Internet is immense. Because this internet has made our life much easier and beautiful. We perform almost all the tasks of our life through this internet. I also do various things using the internet. Below are the types of activities I do online.

• The thing that gives me the most joy over the internet is communicating with my family. I live about 400 km away from my family. I talk to my mother on regular video calls over the internet. Even so far away I could see my mother's face and talk about happier things in my life as a child. Again, a mother is very happy and satisfied when she can communicate with her child on video call. Thanks to the Internet, the distance between people has reduced. People have brought people who are far away to very close through this internet.

• The second thing that I do through the internet is that I work on this platform. We all know we all can earn some money by working on this platform. So I can say that I can earn money through internet. Also by working on this platform I have learned a lot of things that were unknown to me before. I spend most of my day or most of my time online on this platform or Steemit. I really enjoy working here and have made some new friends and learned a lot from here.

• Online is my source of information. Any kind of information is first possible to know from online. Information on cryptocurrency exchange rates is available online very quickly. I know online when the price of crypto currency is going up. So I can say that I get idea about crypto market from online.

• I sometimes order my food online. Within 30-45 minutes through online, the food of our choice reaches us and the bill of that food can be paid online. Ordering this food online is also an important activity within the program. I use an online app called foodpanda to order food.

• I recharge my mobile,Shopping payments, even internet bills are paid online.

• I also stay connected to several communities online on the Discord server so that I know of any announcements and communicate with some of my friends on Steemit.

Since what age did you start using the Internet? How much do you use it every day?

I live in Bangladesh and the first internet in our country was launched in 1993. But the internet was made free for everyone in 1996. I first started using the internet when I was about 14 years old. I first started using the internet properly when I was in college. My brother bought me an Android phone after my SSC exam result. He was very happy to know my secondary school certificate exam results and bought me the phone and through that phone I started using the internet. How much time I spend on the internet each day depends on my work. Every day I spend hours on this internet. Because I have to perform many tasks of my daily life with the help of this internet. I use the internet for about six to eight hours a day.

Do you have internet at home, how much does the service cost (please indicate the price in local currency and in Steem).

Yes, I have internet at home. We use two types of internet in our house. One is WiFi which works up to certain range. But it doesn't work beyond certain limits so we use mobile data along with WiFi. Mobile data can be used everywhere and sometimes we can use mobile data when there is no connection of wifi at home due to some reason.

Why do you think the internet can be harmful?

Although the internet has made our lives easier, it also has many harmful aspects. It causes crimes too like cybercrime. The first reason I consider the Internet to be harmful is that it has reduced the ability of humans to exploit human intelligence. People are now dependent on internet for any type of work. Such people don't want to do small calculations by themselves now. They also use the internet to do simple addition and subtraction calculations. This will make people lose their confidence. And without self-confidence, people cannot succeed anywhere in life.

It can also endanger children. Because through the internet, children can easily access any site and view restricted content for children which is harmful for them. People are getting addicted by consuming any kind of addictive products ordered through internet. Also through the internet we have seen many fraudsters taking money from people by fooling them in various ways. Good people have lost their last wealth by trusting them.

School or college going students are diverting themselves from their studies by using internet and this may disrupt their future life. Because no person can be successful without the light of education in the future. It become addiction. It also kills time and causes health diseases.So we need to know how much internet we can use and from what age we can use internet. We all need to be aware when using the internet.

What benefits has the internet brought to your life?

Internet has brought many benefits to your life. Bellow I am mentioning some benefits with you all

• I can always stay connected with my family through internet.
• I pay electricity, Wi-Fi and various bills through internet.
• Through internet I collect various information from journals which help me in my studies.
• Internet is one of my income sources.
• Through internet I can know the news and breaking news of the country.
• Internet is my entertainment.
• I read novels, stories, books from internet.
