Read the bible
Make your steps clear to me, O Lord; give me knowledge of your ways. Be my guide and teacher in the true way; for you are the God of my salvation; I am waiting for your word all the day.
Psalms 25:4-5
If we let the truths of the Bible fill our minds, keep our emotions and influence our behavior, God will reward us with abundance. If you read his Word and meditate on it, you will learn to understand his ways. This is not something we can discover for ourselves, because God's ways are different from ours: they are taller, bigger and eternal.
In addition, his relationship with the Lord will become increasingly intimate, because He has decided to reveal himself to those who seek him and obey his commandments. When you see that God always keeps his promises, your confidence in his faithfulness will increase. No matter what the situation, you will know that you can trust Him. Then God will transform your worries into a joyful expectation of what He will do next in your life. Although difficult times await you, you will have the conviction that the Lord will use you to bring your life well.
A life based on truth is powerful. Those who live by the Word of God develop spiritual discernment, which guides their decisions and protects them from deceit. Because they demonstrate wisdom and holy character, the Lord makes it possible for them to impact others greatly. And because God knows that he can trust them, he also gives them greater responsibilities and opportunities for service in his kingdom.
With all this at our disposal, wouldn't it be wise to invest our time in the Word of God? The other activities that claim our attention seem very important or pleasurable, but none of them can offer us the spiritual richness of a life based on truth.
