Shrinked

My vase never grows bigger
To board the orchid with roots
Plunging in like a digger

My pencil with every carve getting
shorter
Yet jotting down life's stages from
infancy on a ledger

Toes poking out of hitherto oversize
and sandals
Legs displaying off my jean base
I see my belly line beneath the
shirt I got in a kids fanfare

My bedroom size doesn't seem to
grow
My phone remains constant with
it's pouch
My TV screen never grows with time
And I wonder why growth itself never grows
