Steempunknet Christmas tree deco

in #steempunknet8 years ago

After my well-received SmartCash ornament, I thought it a good idea to work a bit on one for @steempunknet, being a beta-tester for this excellent game, after all :)

This one is relatively simple, and I've plans for trying my hand at 3D modelling some of the guns in the game later on, but I thought it worth sharing anyway.

It could, technically, double as a keychain, but I hope to make a better, more polished, keychain in the future.
So this is mainly intended as a little something to hand on the tree, and get the family wondering :
"what's Steempunk net ?"

VECTARY.jpg

I know it's definitely not my best piece, but I think it has a certain simple charm.

MyMiniFactory link, easy access to .stl

Test-print should be available in a few days time (I don't own a 3D printer Sadness , so the MyMiniFactory Wonderland community needs to do the test-printing themselves), and I'll do an update with an image of the 3D print once it's done, and information about any possible complications.

This model is extremely simple, so I don't expect any complications.

Vectary link, for easy remixing.

It's quite easy to remix models using Vectary, so feel free to remix the model and make your own versions.

If you want, ShapeWays allows exporting the STL file directly from the in-site editor on Vectary, using one of their plugins, to get the company to 3D print it and send it to you.

ShapeWays gives an estimation of 5$, for the material cost of the print, though their shipping fees are insane (I believe it'd be 15$ to ship it, even though I'm in France and they've got a shop set up to print in the Netherlands).

I have a very good expression thanks

I.... I have no idea what that means, but I bet it's probably some kind of positive sentiment, so thanks !

:))I congratulate you on a very good thought :)))

yay .... i ... need .... a 3D PRINTER!!! ... ahhhh

just gotta hope Father Christmas has a Steemit account ;)

Or the Grinch do it :P

I think then Grinch would offer you a 3D printer that prints nitro-glycerine-infused filament.

Good luck printing with that !

Nice! :)

Glad you liked it :)
