What the hell happened to Steemit? looks post apocalypse now
Was away from Steemit for a couple years doing other things, but decided to come back and check it out and its shit.. WTF happened? I read something about witness purging etc and that apparently was a shit move as there seems to be no one with any pride in the site now. This place was entertaining as fuck before @berniesanders, @grumpycat.. little wars, nice folks voting people up, friendly whales etc.. just seems like a sad, useless, empty shell of what it once was...So whats the deal.. This place is about as entertaining as Myspace now..

Its bizarre, seems like it just turned into a cheap advertisement for China town.. English speakers seem to have been pushed out and its mostly a "click your own bullshit & make a penny site" now.. tons of garbage pics and other trash on here and basically no sense of community.. I looked at the witness list and it shows a ton of accounts deactivated.. that must of been the purge that absolutely ruined the site for all intents and purposes... It was actually engaging and fun before... but shit rolls down hill and the current leadership seems like taco bell diarrhea ergo the site is abysmal
I'm back after what looks like 3 years. Most of the accounts I followed haven't been active for about that time. Will give it a go for now but yeah, it's a pretty sad place now.
