Bergendy was a jazz band of Hungarian origin. It was founded in 1962, and worked as a sextet from 1972. It was composed of, István Bergendy (saxophone, clarinet, piano, organ), Sándor Hajdu (trumpet, trombone, piano, organ, voice), Péter Bergendy (flute, saxophone, choirs), György Oroszlán (guitar, choirs), Ferenc Demjén (vocals, bass) Norbert Latzin (piano, organ, guitar) and Csaba Debreczeni (drums, percussion). The style of the group is a mixture, mainly of sounds from jazz, jazz rock, swing and dixieland. "Jazz" (released in 1972), is the name of his third album under study, which in simple words synthesizes faithfully the band's style ... a highly recommended album especially for jazz and fusion lovers ...
