Are property taxes ethical?
I have a big problem with property taxes. The idea that you can have your house taken away from you, even if it is completely paid for, simply because you are not able to pay the government is just not right. It is one of the grossest abuse of power by our elected government that I can think of.
I agree with you. In South Africa where I'm from there are plans being drawn up by the government to redistribute property that people paid for ! It is mostly to do with jealousy in my case and the uneducated who are gullible enough to think that it is ethical to take ground from tax payers and owners ! This is not a socialist or communist state ! We are capitalist and some political parties want to change that. Sorry for my language but that is shit !
Scary isnt it? I recommend keeping some savings in gold and silver. What happened in the 30s, when the dollar lost a lot of value is, people couldnt pay their property taxes with the dollar. And many lost their homes...But there were a lucky few that held gold and silver and they were able to make their property tax payments. Shame we have to do that. Great post!
The price of precious metals will go up and up in the future it is a wise investment I ehould encourage u to get some silver !
My brother and I study law, and in truth your private property is not taxable unless it is being used commercially. To be used commercially there must be a contract (knowingly and willingly) signed by you agreeing to abide by the rules of the overseeing/governing entity that grants you permission to operate your business (fictitious entity). They don't want you knowing this, and the lawlessness they exercise to force you to concede to their demands is prosecutable, but it takes much learning, tenacity, and dedication to achieve it.
