Not a great start to 2019

The start of a year brings with it new year resolutions for many. A time to start a fresh and a time to make improvements.

How many people fall for joining a gym and paying out that annual membership only to find come this time of year the motivation and egarness is gone?

I didnt fall for that myself, but I did know things needed to change. Im a much happier person when I am active and so the new year for me was time to get at it.

Within 2 weeks of starting the couch to 5k challenge I fractured my foot. What a load of crap. Motivating my self to get out and active in the freezing cold was difficult. This is really not what i wanted.

Not put off and keeping on the active side of life, next I got hit with a bout of migrane, quickly followed by some virus that knocked me side ways and left me sleeping for the best part of 48 hours.

I seems healthier when i was doing nothing. Sitting around doing nothing and I wasnt sick twice in a month let alone getting an injury.
Is this a sign for me to just give up???

I so glad i didnt pay for that gym membership. How about you? 😂😂😂

Stay on the couch lol. I have to get my mind right first for getting active. February is normally good for cutting things out the diet as it is the shortest month of the year.Hope you get better soon.

I feel like i spent about 10 years on the couch. Lol but with feb being a shorter month maybe i will have better luck

I think it also shows the importance of not doing it just for a short term thing. If we are able to integrate these changes into our lifestyle, it makes for not only an easier transition but also helps the body transition. I went through this a couple of years back when I started when all sorts of issues started to happen when I adjusted my activity levels

The last New Year's resolution I made was about 10 years ago. And it was to STOP making New Year's resolutions. It's the only one I was ever able to keep.

I’m still moving forward on all resolutions. Things are just going slower then expected but I expected that to happen as it always does. With current projects some are expected to fail which I won’t be to shocked by either.

Trying to get back in shape is always a hard one and I never included it as I know there always going be something. Last time I tried to lose weight my body was like “OMG you are trying to kill us lets gain 20lbs to show you a lesson.”

I hope rest of 2019 goes much smoother for you. Perhaps once you heal up a bit you can try again in much warmer temps.

Thanks for the show of support. I actually wouldnt mind if my body went against me and put on a few pounds, i tend to suffer from being under rather than over. Maybe thats the cause of the problem. More curry and beer on the couch is what i need 😂

You'd be healthier without any gym membership or running in the cold weather @paulag 😉 roaming around from room to room in your house for an hour is the same as you're running outdoor 😊 you're considered active when you're healthy😉

Roam around from the left wing to the right wing would be better 😁

😂😂 odid it everyday at our 36m2 house, from bedroom to garage then the yard and kitchen then bathroom, kitchen and backyard.. 10k steps everyday😂😂
