Colorful Hospital...

I meet a lot of people while I am staying at hospital for 10 months. After my life and death situation, I become stable condition, so they transfer me to rehab centre. First a few day they observe me and access me what I can do and don’t, basically most of the thing I can’t do everything. Secondly I suffer from bed sour and not allow to sit for most of the time.

Every day we have schedule to do rehab program for morning and afternoon. Although I can’t do much, they bring me down to the GYM and starching exercise, breathing exercises, physiology exercises and so on…

Most of patients are suffer from STOKE. At during the time 7 spinal cord injury SCI patient and a few acquired brain injury ABI patients.

During the rehab center, one of my neighbor was suffer from STOKE and he was just next to my bed. He looks like his early 60s and very funny all the time. He cannot walk properly and speech as well. But he want to try to his own all the time. As a man, he wanted to go toilet by himself although he is not allow to, because he may fall and injured himself. He always try to go out from the bed and all the nurses need to eye on him. Funniest part is when no nurse around he always want to go toilet. And he cannot aime to the toilet bowl, all the nurse said, you do not know how to aime as guy. So he was very angry and reply to them was “ I do know how to aime, that why I already got 3 kids”..

Another patient was women, she was a lecturer form polytechnic, because of fall at toilet, her brain injured. And become manizer and whenever the nurses are not around she will visit men wards and sweet talk to all the guys. But she still smart and when young male doctor come, she requested to get hug and kisses. Every night she disappear from her bed and always found at man ward.

One patient was how she get spinal cord injury, she was pregnant with 7 months and while she was going home from work by taxi, another car hid and become spinal cord injury and permanent disable from chest down. She suffer (C6 and 7) Completed injured. Good news was both child and mother are still alive today.

One of the patient was become spinal cord injury and suffer from the chest down was very unexpected accident. He was playing video game at home and hold his pee for last second. He run into the toilet for his NO1 and slip and fall at toilet, he hid his neck with toilet bowl and become permanent disable.

Another patients was marathon runner and run almost every day. He train himself for always ready for every event. While he was running at one morning, he hid into the bus by himself and get the spinal cord injury. But his impact was not large enough to become permanent disable. He suffer for almost 7 months and he start to walk and recover slowly. Today he is become normal person but not able to hold and grip properly.

There is still so many history, during my days at hospital, its become my colourful experiences of my fellow hospitals made. Nurses are young, kind, lovely and taking care of us every days. May be you will be healthy and may not need their service today. When you need they are always ready for us all time. We should give exter respect to them than any other industry.
