I'm using am Asus laptop not the one you mentioned but think the make is pretty good. Had no problems with it :)

Thanks for that info. I have ASUS mainboards and GPU's and have always wondered if their laptops were the same quality. I've been buying ASUS components for years.

I have had this be for around 4 years its still going strong, its never let me down :)

That sounds great! The ASUS mainboard I have is 5+ years and still going. :)

Def a good option :)

If you want fast, go for one with SSD rather than HDD.
It'll be more expensive.

I was wondering how big a difference that makes. I haven't used a computer with SSD. Any idea how much faster? I was looking at an i5-6200 with an SSD that is around the same price. Will faster access offset the difference? I notice that most of the time when my computer slows down the disk is at 100%.

Processor speed doesn't really matter much if your drive is bottle necking.

Personally, i think it's worth it. Processor make a difference but if you with big files even like MS office documents, SSD makes a difference. I listen to my friend's suggestion and didn't regret. Only problem for the desktop is Microsoft broke it by sending a driver update on 12February. Now, I've tested running Linux from a flash drive. Even after Microsoft comes back and help with the clean install, i think I'll continue experiment with the Linux as a backup as I'm starting to like that option.
