"Credit Goes to Steemit"

As I sat down in front of my computer and open my Steemit account the first thing I saw was the notifications, 98 of them. Gosh!

I normally start at the bottom and worked my way up but tonight I started by looking at the names. I stop at my friend the rat’s, @disconnect daily post. That was when I saw this contest.

What a nice light-hearted contest! Even though I have already planned what I was going to write about tonight I just knew that I couldn’t let this one pass.

So yeah, hold onto your hat as we take off!

My ride on Steemit was like a roller coaster ride, I joined in 2016, I left in 2016, I returned in 2022 and with my return, I posted just photos. If others can do it and earn surely I can also. Little do I need to tell you… no returns.

I started to search Steemit and I discovered so much more. In the process, I experience ups and downs. While doing this I discovered communities, I started to read posts and started writing lengthy posts, I made friends and best of all I started to enjoy myself.

I’ve discovered a roller coaster that I will set my feet and I will stand in a lengthy queue to do so.

Soon I wanted to take others on the ride with me. Lending a hand was a priority for me.

I first started with a serious of posts on Steemkids, now Steemkids and Parents.
It was 10 lessons on "How to start your own business." In case you have missed it

Often people have great ideas but they don’t know where to start.

I hoped that the young Steemians of the platform could learn from these posts and know that anyone can be a successful business operator. It all depends on the "operator" and how hungry you are to make a success of it.

In these lessons, I covered the basics of what is needed when you are thinking of starting a new business.

Next, I started with educational posts. Through these posts, I wanted to help existing Steemians to correct their post and teach the new ones to start their journey on Steemit in the right manner.

I believe that these posts can still be of great use to my fellow Steemians.

I have written 415 posts so far on Steemit. Looking back at these posts so many good memories come back. The stories I shared, the tears I have shed, and the laughs I laughed are endless.

My best post!

My best post is without a doubt when I reached my first dolphin.

Man oh, man! It is a huge feeling of pride when you do the last power-up to take you to your first 5,000.

From there is just no stopping. You will keep on swimming until you get to that next 5,000 and the next, and the next.
Right now I am swimming stroke for stroke to get to my 5th dolphin!

This also brings me to the best line or should I rather say, the BEST SLOGAN I have written so far on Steemit.

You, my Steemian friend, can also be dolphin SMART.

My favorite cover image

This was the first cover image I made and it was used the first time many moons ago. Till today it gives me a thrill when I open my diary post and I post the images.

How I love to fill my diaries pages.
Never in my wildest dreams did I dream of a day that I will share my day, my home, my family, and my feelings with other people.

What Steemit don't make us do...

This was the first image I created in Canva. I could also learn from tutorials that were shared on Steemit. What do they say about not being too old to learn?

This week I used this image for the 35th time. Yip! It is 35 weeks of me hosting my "I spy with my little eye contest".
A contest that not only makes all of us think a bit but also educates Steemians about the English language, history, nature and so much more.

My best photo

It might not be the prettiest photo I have taken but it is a photo that has so much meaning for me. It was a photo that made me realize how important it is to say "thank you."

Friends of ours gave these items to us when we moved into our new home as a welcoming gift.

BREAD, so that we may never experience hunger
SALT, to add flavor to our lives
HONEY, to sweeten up our lives
CANDLE AND OIL, may God always fill our lamps so that you can continue to be light to others

The last thing I want to give credit to tonight is... LAUGHTER!

It happens so often that I just burst out laughing when I read a post or comment from my fellow Steemians.
There have been so many of them that I truly cannot think of one particular incident right now.

Often I write "It is your fault that I am sitting with a wet screen"

The thing that I have learned the most about Steemit is that you can have fun! Don't miss these amazing moments when you are on our Steemit roller coaster journey! They are precious!
