Vikings in Morocco, part 4

Folkloric sources on vikings in Morocco can easily be mixed into the Vandal phenomena. Ap 80 000 Vandals, which was a Gothic-German tribe, attacked North Africa via Gibraltar and present Morocco in the 4th century, traveled until Libya and stayed in the region around 100 years; leaving behind a large Northern European DNA-heritage. Many blonde North Africans today may have a strong Vandal-DNA, but of different reasons its more convenient and gives somewhat a higher status while pointing out a viking past rather than a Vandal heritage. But Vandals outnumbered the vikings with many tens of thousands individuals raiding this part of North Africa (the Maghreb States) 500 years before the Nordic Vikings came with their advanced sailing ships.
