THE CORE 3 PRINCIPLES OF LEADERSHIP
The term PRINCIPLES could be easily rephrased as the fundamental guidelines, fundamental laws or sets of guiding beliefs in course of acting.
Today we will look at three principles of leadership or you could call them the 3Cs of leadership. They include CLARITY, COMPETENCE AND CONSISTENCY.
CLARITY... A leader must be very clear about where he wants to go, and what the goal is. You could call this vision but it's more than that cause you have to also be clear who you are and what you stand for. Your followers must understand clearly why they choose to follow you.
COMPETENCE... A leader must be competent in what he does. You can teach, and inspire if you are not competent. This doesn't mean you should be perfect or know everything but you must be willing to learn continuously and stay on top. A leader must lead by example and set standard of excellence.
CONSISTENCY... A leader must not be a quitter. A leader must remain calm and show resolve in time of adversary. In time of confusion, people would look up to you. You must be dependable and reliable. You must fight for what you believe no matter the odds. A leader is 100% involved and committed.
