Being proactive on the one hand means deciding before hand how you respond to issues. Being reactive on the other hand implies allowing issues determine your responses.

It's far more better to be proactive than reactive. Being proactive means being in control while being reactive means allowing external influences control your actions.

Being proactive entails being present and future oriented. Doesn't mean doing away with the past completely but always revisiting to drive lessons from it. By this I mean focusing on solutions and remedies instead of complains and blame games.

A perfect example would be, instead of crying over a spilled milk, you focus on how to clean up the mess. Think about it now, if someone slaps you in public no matter the reason, how would you respond? Personally, I'd just walk away. Easier said than done. Paraventure it happens someday and I just walk away cause I decided before then to walk away if I find myself in such situation, I'm being proactive.

Being proactive means being in control, being optimistic and looking out for the best in every situation. Being proactive means having the mindset of not letting setbacks spoil the business instead having the mentality of driving out valuable lessons from every situation.

BE PROACTIVE NOT REACTIVE.

"The proactive approach to a mistake is to acknowledge it instantly, correct and learn from it" - Steve Covey.
