WEATHER FORECAST FOR TONIGHT: DARKNESS
You know what they say about Wisconsin. If you don't like the weather, wait 15 minutes.
Two days ago the weather was nutty. The day started with temps above freezing, which itself is uncommon in January. Then what followed was hours of rain. Which melted the snow we had, and cleared the streets. As the day progressed and the temperature dropped, the rain turned to sleet, which is frozen rain. And eventually it became cold enough and it turned to heavy wet snow. Heavy snow, mixed with the wind created white out conditions for driving. Which means poor visibility, due to blowing snow. In other words, you can't see anything but the white snow coming sideways. I posted some photo's yesterday after the white out here.
Today I have before and after photo's. Our neighbor didn't have water service, due to his in-ground water line freezing up. And the crew was out in the street, attempting to restore his water. I snapped a photo of them at noon while it was raining. The next photo is the next day, after the snow. You can see how much change there was in a few hours.

We are dealing pretty much with the same weather here in Penticton. Snow one day, dry and green the next day or even in the same day.
But so far, we had a pretty good winter. The snow is all gone now, which I am enjoying and liking it and the days are slowly getting brighter and longer.

That's the thing about the midwest. The weather is always changing. We are the only place in the world with such drastic weather and temperature changes!
