VISITING DAD

It had been 5 weeks since I drove my father back to Wisconsin from Florida. Since then my sister and brother in-law have taken the lead in getting him settled in. When my wife and I drove down for a visit yesterday, we found Dad very happy in his new "man cave" as he described it. Throughout the day dad introduced us to many new friends he has made in the short time here.
The "independent living" senior housing my father moved into has established a wonderful reputation. We arrived in time to enjoy lunch and it was very good. Once seated the wonderful servers take your order from a list of 4 or 5 selections each meal. I was very impressed as the food was great and the atmosphere relaxing.

Dinner with Dad

Following dinner we watched the British Open on TV and then chatted the afternoon away. The time passed to quickly as the entertaining conversation lead us into dinner time. We did stay for another meal and afterward said our goodbyes.

The time together was wonderful, and seeing Dad loving his new environment was priceless!!
