Perfect weather for a picnic surprise!

Also a chance for more fabulous and unexpected colorful photos! Come and see!

In all honesty, I was so surprised at the great performance of my post yesterday that I even considered not posting today just to treasure the moment. But it would not be fair to me, or to you, as life goes on and as I habitually post every day, today is no different. Don't get me wrong, as I am very appreciative because we are building a foundation for our charity's future existence on this site and we thank everyone for the great and kind support.
I could mention a few names here, but they might not like it and neither would we.
But I digress, as today I will show you some more wonders!
Come and have a look!

To get what I am going to show you later in this post takes a lot of patience and while I am waiting, I look around.
That's when I spotted this young couple having a picnic with their dogs! The little Pom-Pom grabbed my attention and they were happy for me to take some shots of it!

IMG_5087 (2).JPG

What a little beauty and she even laid down to pose for me!

Later on her mother used the big German Shepherd for a pillow!

IMG_5091 (2).JPG

And finally, she is so enjoying the time out that she looks totally contented here!

Right and now for the reason that we came here!

A perfect hunting spot for what I am about to show you here below!
So take your time and enjoy!

IMG_5134.JPG

Bang, I saw the Navy Dropwing dragonfly coming in!

IMG_5092.JPG

A lovely colorful sight isn't it as he sat down for a moment?

Here is another one below!

IMG_5152.JPG

Very difficult to get a clear shot of their wings in flight, as they flap them way too fast!

IMG_5153.JPG

And this is where this guy was going to sit and rest for a second or two!

Right, now we move to another spot, as I was looking for something different!

IMG_5077.JPG

Bang! A Russet Dropwing catching a breath of fresh air on this green stalk!

IMG_5054.JPG

A Red Veined Dropwing sitting here on a water Lily leaf!

IMG_5156.JPG

Mr. Denim Dropwing also pitched up for a quick pose and luckily I don't have to pay them modelling fees hahaha!

IMG_5161.JPG

This little guy is not a dragonfly, but he is a Sprite Damselfly!

IMG_5218.JPG

Look at the lovely reflection of this rock in the river's pond!

IMG_5226.JPG

And finally, this is the photo above that I will submit to National Geographic!

There are so many amazing things to be seen in nature and most of my posts are geared to warn and extol the need to preserve nature. As it is every living beings lifeblood, but so many do not seem to care.
Frightening how many people hardly ever go out to experience the wonders that Mother Nature wants to show them. Sitting behind a desk, computer, PC or any other distraction for hours every day is bad medicine. Real, real bad medicine. My posts take so long, as not only do I type with one finger, but every 20 minutes I lift my bum for a quick walk outside. The bonus is most of those times I get something free for my camera.

Note: All photos are my own, unedited and only cropped for uploading purposes.
Camera used is a Canon Powershot SX60 HD.

We hope that you have enjoyed the pictures, and thank you for visiting a post by @papilloncharity

After checking into the cam you used it does seem like a very nice one with a lot of features!

Oh yes and it also has a great super zoom. Better than most fixed lens cameras.

Thank you and I love those birdies!

Such beautiful shots and so glad to see your post yesterday did so well :)

Have a great week

Ha! Some guy fighting with somebody else that upvoted me cut my post with $10 JJ. This downvoting system is a total mess!
Blessings!

Yeah I really dont like the downvoting, I really wish they would add that one has to leave a comment when downvoting, its frustrating not knowing why, or getting caught in someone else's battle

Downvoting and trolls might just become a thing of the past JJ.
Lets just see how things turn out!
Blessings!

I still see the odd small downvote now and again but it would be good if it becomes a thing of the past

Well I have found out who the big downvoter is and he doesn't have a fight with us. Instead he is fighting with one of the upvoters and taking it out on other innocent parties.
Sick if you ask me!
Blessings!

Ohh yeah why drag others into your personal battles :(

Exactly and the amazing thing is that in my last two posts, yesterday and today there are no downvotes???
Blessings!

Beautiful sunny weather. must heaving fun with a picnic .

Thank you my friend!
Blessings!

Looked like a lovely day for the park! The Pomeranian is so cute!
You sure captured the beauty of the dragonflies - wonderful shots - definitely National Geographic quality!
Thanks for sharing

Thank you my friend, I just could not resist from taking some shots of the Pom.
Glad that you liked the dragonfly shots and thank you for the kind words.
Blessings!

Howdy sir papilloncharity! Oh what great photos for us today, I loved them all and you must have the sharpest eyes in the country to spot those dragonflies!

Greetings my friend and you know the story about how I trained myself in photography by snapping dragonflies. It's like riding a bicycle, one never forgets. Glad that you liked the photos!
Blessings!
