What do you do about stress?
There are three dams in the wetland near our house. The above photos represent the dam in the middle and the wetland is situated on a local farm. We call it our de-stress spot and we visit as often as we can.
Today I will show you some delightful shots at this dam.
The bird on the rock is an "African Wattled Lapwing" and the black and white birds in the second photo are "Blacksmith Lapwings"
The three big birds are called "Sacred Ibis" and we have two "Blacksmith Lapwings" at the front!
Here we have an "African Darter"
And finally we have a young "Black Heron" It was the first time that this guy appeared at the dam.
As humans we live with a load of stress in this fast paced life! Extra stress for us at the Papillon Charity is our month-end payments and also the loaded regrets because of so many souls that we cannot help because of a lack of resources!
Then of course there are also many other stressful situations in our work with the poor and, and, and.
So whenever we get an hour free, we run to the dam, to sit in peace in the shade under a tree and just to clear our minds!
Life goes on as they say, but precious moments in nature clearly show us how life was actually meant to be!
Stress is a killer and you should grab every opportunity to find relief!
I hope you have enjoyed the photos!

You are surrounded by so much wonderful nature, I know it must be a healing force for you right now.
True Lady Melinda, it definitely has a healing and calming effect. Nothing better to sit in meditation and prayer in nature! Blessings to you dear friend!
That looks so peaceful, a real place to find peace and quiet and watch the birds do what they do best.
Lovely birding community you have there, always a highlight to see beautiful photography in nature.
An escape from false reality into the truth of mother nature's arms Lady Joan. Pacified by the sun's mirror reflections on the water and lulled by the wind's whispers in the reeds! A real place of peace to still the mind! Blessings!

Beautiful words and photos. Even just looking at those photos makes me feel calm and relaxed. I will definitely take this advice to heart.
Blessings to you my friend!
I love the nature! There is no better place to be to find the inner calm! Since I live in a town I have to go very far to find real calm in nature. I grew up in a wonderful place next to the sea and in my imagination I can bring back these fantastic memories during meditation. Thank You for your fantastic photos! I wish You the best!
