Do you also rise with the chickens?
Yup! All the nightlights are still on and I greet one of the early guys that's sitting on a street lamp post!
The moon is hurrying towards the west in order to make place for the sun that will soon arrive!
As you can see, the dawn is gradually breaking!
The stage curtain for the dramatic arrival of the sun is slowly drawn open! In the meantime a lot of rain clouds have arrived!
Almost on cue the sun and a light rain arrive at the same time! Fortunately there are gaps in the clouds!
Here we have another look at the sun in his fight to clear the clouds!
Unfortunately the rain won and I was forced inside. A wet camera is difficult to clean and I couldn't get a chance to complete the sequence as when the rain stopped it was all over!
Maybe next time I will show you a complete early morning transformation.

Your photos are absolutely beautiful! It is not often that I wake up that early, but I did go through a phase last year. Most of the photos that I took only evoke the memory of the moment, because the pictures are not good ones. I love the sun when it peeks from behind the horizon and throws beautiful rays of sunshine onto mountains.

I took the photos last year in August, near Hartebeespoort Dam, and I used my cell phone, Galaxy J5.
You are too modest as the pictures are very nice! Especially since taken with a cellphone! Strange that you should mention phases, as I suffer from the exact same thing! Raised on a farm until age 12 and then imported into Johannesburg, I suppose that my youth is somewhere locked into the sub-conscious and it acts as a reminder every now and again! Blessings, Stephen
Thanks for your kind words. And yes, I am half country, half city girl. In my heart I am a plaaskind, and I alway long for nature. Reality, however, is the city - Witbank, in my case.
I love the pictures @papilloncharity. I don't rise with the chickens, I go sleep with too late. But sometimes hubby and I make a date to see the sunrise and that is always worth the effort!
