He doesn't look too happy having me and my camera around hahaha.

We have a pair of Robin residents here in our garden and they are slowly getting used to us. At first they took flight as soon as I appeared, but nowadays after a few months it seems that they have accepted me.
Good fliers and beautiful birds!

Note how he keeps an eye on me at all times!

The only time that I could get him with open wings!

Such a lovely shot with the sun ray!

Problem is that he is very fast in the bath, but thankfully I am used to getting dragonflies which are doubly as quick as the robin.

And there was his last few flips in the bath!

Oh yeah, he had to show me what he thought about me and my camera hahaha.

In the meantime this wasp decided to come and feast on my morning toast!

Here's some information about the Robins!

"The Cape robin-chat (Cossypha caffra) is a small passerine bird of the Old World flycatcher family Muscicapidae. It has a disjunct range from South Sudan to South Africa. The locally familiar and confiding species has colonized and benefited from a range of man-altered habitats, including city suburbs and farmstead woodlots".

"It is an accomplished songster like other robin-chats, but is rather less colourful than most, and frequents either dryer settings or higher altitudes. It forages in the proximity of cover, in the open or in fairly well-lit environments".

"Its distribution resembles that of the karoo–olive complex of thrushes, but it prefers the bracken-briar fringes of Afromontane forest, and does not enter far into forest proper. It is altitudinally segregated from the red-capped robin-chat, and is less of a skulker".

Lovely little birds visiting your birdbath to cool down.

Such strange weather patterns of late one day hot, windy then rain and cool down for a day or two again.

Severe south-easter blowing my fringe into my eyes today Lady Joan.
They are saying that it will reach speeds of up to 90 kmh in Cape Town today. And tomorrow the heat returns.
Btw. I don't have a fringe so you can imagine how strong the wind is hahaha

I remember a band of wasp ambushing us on a beach in Greece. As soon as we took out our sandwich materials they appeared as if from nowhere and tried stealing bites from our mouths even when we submerged in salty water up to our faces. Then, again, at lunch, they found us in the forest. We thought we were safe and we had lost them but they spawned there immediately when food was opened.

Oh man! What an experience you must have had.
I know how sore their stings are and on occasion I also had a horrible experience with a wasp, but luckily eventually got out of it.
Something I am sure that you and I will never forget hahaha
Hope that you have a good Friday my friend!
Blessings and thank you!
