Snake on the homestead!!!

This is probably my favorite local species of snake. They coloration and pattern of this species reminds me of static on a television, which used to be my favorite show growing up. These snakes will eat lizards and mice, and kingsnakes can also eat other snakes, including venomous ones, which is one reason people like these snakes. I was able to photograph one on the dirt road the other day. Do you have any beneficial snakes in your area? Are you afraid of all snakes? Do you know of any local venomous species in your area?
