ONE OF OUR BIGGEST HOMESTEADING MISTAKES
Don't do this!!!
Nobody is perfect, and we all make mistakes, but some are honestly avoidable. Unfortunately, we did not avoid this one, but you still can.
In all of the excitement of swtiching lifestyles and finally being allowed to have "farm animals" on our property, we began acquiring livestock prior to building our pastures and putting up our fences. That said, we ended up with areas of our property that have been eaten down to the dirt, and now we need to correct our error.
If you've got any good advice for ways to build up a pasture, or of any great plants to have growing in our pastures, please feel free to leave your suggestions in the comment section below.

We just released our second book ever, "ARMADILLO ESCAPE" - a children's book that was the effort of three generations of our family, from @grandpa-pepper all the way down to Pinkie-Pepper. We're excited about it, so here's some links for you to check out in case you're interested. Thanks!

Guess you need to build up the soil; with plenty of plant material and manures. Then grow some nitrogen fixing grass to help...But I'm sure you know all that... :-)
