Don't sell yourself short!

You don't have to look too hard to see the truth sometimes. Recently, I got just what I was looking for in a situation where many others would have quit and left empty-handed. Here's what went down.

GETTING FREE MULCH, OR NOT

Where we take our recycling they also offer free mulch.... periodically. It's really hit or miss, and it's usually feast or famine. Basically, if I'm heading to town, I like to bring an empty trailer with me, so I can bring home a load of free mulch. A few days out of the week, they'll even use a skid steer to load it for you. That saves a lot of time and effort versus a pitchfork, but I'll do whatever I can not to leave empty handed.

If you look at that photo above, there isn't really much to see. Where a heaping mound of free mulch can often be found, it's mostly been scraped bare. If you were looking to get loaded, you've be told that they are currently out of mulch. However, if you're ambitious enough and brought your own pitchfork, the scenario changes.

Yeah, it took some work for sure, but I got a full load, didn't I? I would beg to differ on the "out of mulch" viewpoint, and don't mind working for a great free resource. This is the load that I came home with on Friday. But... that's not all!

I went back and grabbed another one on Monday. I can't even imagine how many people showed up later on Friday, or on Saturday, or earlier on Monday and thought, "They are out," and then chose to leave empty-handed. Nope, not me! I know better than that, LOL. Anyway, the price was right, and I enjoyed the workout. Don't be afraid to look at things differently than most people. You just might get blessed in the process.
