We just ate our first gar ever..... guess what we thought of it. Amazingly Tasty or Unappetizing -n- Nasty? I'll have a video out eventually, but I want to hear your guesses.

I'm guessing that it was "ok" and you would eat it again but you would probably want to fry up another kind of fish instead!
Guess it depends on the way you cook it? I have wonderful memories of eating garfish my brother caught as a kid. Lots of bones and not huge on the meat volume, but very tasty as I recall.

I've had it before when I was a kid. If I recall, it was actually not bad; just maybe not worth the effort it took to get through that thick armor they have.
