FINDING FOSSILS - A FAMILY ADVENTURE WITH PHOTOS OF OUR FINDS!
It's a simple hobby, but it is fun.
While @grandpa-pepper and my mom were down visiting us, they brought one of my aunts with them. She had recently injured her arm and was unable to work, so they decided that she would tag along for a visit. While here, she hoped to find some interesting souvenirs, so soon we were at a local creek looking for fossils.
This is the creek where one of our favorite swimming holes is, and it's also a great place to find some fossils. Below are some photos of our finds. While none of the find were incredibly amazing, they are still unique and special, and we enjoyed the adventure. Plus, my aunt for her souvenirs. Enjoy the photos!

Fossils are always fascinating. Not enough children are encouraged to look around them and see what they might find.
I hear that! We like to let our children enjoy the real world as much as possible, rather than the digital.
Simple things like looking into the night sky can be incredible too. Especially when you can see things moving around up there. 😃
I see a couple bi-valve molds, but most of those are crinoid pieces! They are fairly common in Northern AR. Sometimes you can get lucky and find the mold of a small trilobite as well. We have a few examples.

Finding fossils yourself is always great. Are those sea lily stems?
Not sure.... I thought it might be a type of worm... I'll do further research. Someone once told me, but I forgot.
I used to find similar ones in the driveway growing up! They are cool to find.
I also noticed the pictures still have those lines on them. You going to get the camera fixed?
