FINALLY
It took a bit, but I have succeeded.
Hunting season has been open for a while here. I've gone out a few times, but until this morning I was unsuccessful. A number of factors came into play in my previous failed attempts, but I'm just glad to be past it now. This morning I had a number of reasonable shots that I could have taken at some deer. In the end, I chose to take two, and bagged two deer. Where I live, people can harvest up to five or six deer per season, depending on where you are hunting.
Hunting is one of the easiest and most cost effective ways for meat-eaters to obtain meat. Since public land is also open for hunting in many places, even if you live in the city or in an apartment building, you could still harvest wild deer. Anyway, I'm just glad to have gotten a few this year already, and glad that my shots were accurate too. Each deer fell in place.

wow, delicious if you can come hunting into the forest, besides being able to enjoy the natural panorama of the forest can also enjoy the soft and delicious venison hunted. I really like it.

Well done! I'm praying we get a chance next weekend while I'm out with my dad and brother.
Nice! I just picked up our meat from the butcher. Managed to sell some of it too.
I think that with the rising focus on eating healthy food. Game meat will rise in price in the future. Great commodity for trading too!
mmmm venison!
we pan fry ours -cut it thin, 1/4" or less across the grain. a couple pats of bacon grease in a cast iron skillet/pan
smidge of salt & pepper with some fresh onions......
rarely get a chance to even put it on a plate. the family just hovers at the stove top and they pick it out of the pan as it's done. heh... like a pack of vultures ;-)
