Where Have You Been Lately

Due to various personal circumstances, as well as others, I have gone MIA on my blog for a couple of weeks now. I even missed the last @deepdives research challenge, which is pretty significant as it was the first time I did not submit an entry into a project I dearly appreciate.

Without going into too much detail, the life of palikar123 is not so awesome at the moment. Just like everyone else, we all go through peaks and troughs in our personal lives. So since I’ve been having an extended rough patch (both mentally and physically), it is affecting my ability to produce a half reasonable article (not that they were anyway) in the usual arena of political discourse, but more specifically detailed research into various topics accompanying those socio-political subject matters.

I also don’t engage with others anywhere near as much as is required to successfully network and gather a real following on here. That is also partly due to the abovementioned circumstances. Most of the time, I just don’t have the energy or motivation to do so. So when I do, my comments are generally quite short and to the point these days. My favourite way of commenting is with gifs and pictures…they are just more fun and sometimes say a lot more than just words alone!

Moving forward, the blog entries will likely be fewer and be somewhat different to what they were previously…They will certainly be mostly skewed towards short posts.

Of course, I have also been sucked into the Steem Monsters world as of late, and have been playing and battling it out against other steemians…I am certainly having a lot of fun with it atm, which is something I need from a personal point of view.

The palikari123 (also known as PK to some, and an oxy-moron to others), just needs a little more fun and positiveness in his life (yes I’m a guy just in case you didn’t’ already know that – and no, I’m not the guy pictured in my avatar). Some online gaming is a good way to unwind, relax and have a break from the usual and another way to enjoy one’s free time on the block chain without having to feel the need to post something on my blog, even when I don’t feel like it. So yes, you can expect to see some Steem Monsters posts in the future, mixed in with some rhymes for the most part.

I will still endeavour to write an occasional article and/or enter Deep Dives when I feel up to it or personal circumstances improve, but that is not guaranteed by any means. Otherwise, there is also an opportunity to cut the workload in half, by possibly collaborating with another steemian and sharing in the rewards as part of a team effort.

I have also previously thought of holding a weekly meme or rhyme contest, but I’m not sure that my blog is popular enough to be able to fund such an endeavour, or even have the required interest and number of entrants in the first place. I would like to have at least some idea, if there is any interest out there before proceeding any further with that type of thang! If not, then that will be left to the side for the time being.

One thing is for certain….and that is, I will still be following and supporting the work of my favourite authors on this blockchain with my tiny vote, no matter what direction this blog goes in, or doesn’t go in!
