#16 Preopening hotel night stay
Preamble
Do you know how many did sleep in the bed before you when you stay at a hotel? Well on this special night I did know, I am the first. Who can say that? Never before has a hotel room felt cleaner. Let us read what I have written back then. Those good old memories. I still stay at this hotel if I am visiting Nakhon Phanom.

I'm back in Nakhon Phanom. Why? Well, here's some Buddha festival. On today's Saturday fireworks will be fired on the Mekong and ships with illuminated pictograms (very likely from the king) will sail down the Mekong.

What will this blog-post all about if not the festival itself? It is my last night's hotel. The River. Today is the grand opening and even the Prime Minister will be there. And who's been there overnight and did farted in bed first?
Needless to say, I was almost confessed to staying there, as the Prime Minister wanted to say hello. But as a busy person in great demand, I am short of time and can't throw my daily schedule away for every person around. I am sorry for the Prime Minister, but I have to set priorities.
The hotel is quite nice. Like all other hotels directly by the river you have a fantastic view. Me twit, of course, didn't take any pictures. But it's not that bad, because the official pictures are one to one consistent with reality.
But what you can't see on any picture is the fact that you don't live there alone. I never have had so many insects in a hotel room for a long time and some of them are unknown to me... actually haven't even had seed them yet again. And this despite the fact that it is quite satisfactory in terms of cleanliness. I simply assume that the insect infestation is due to the pre-opening condition. Which is why I will book it again on my next stay here.
Prices start from 650 bath/night (incl. breakfast buffet).
Howeve, I had room 501, so whoever wants to follow in my footsteps...
