BASIC SECURITY ON STEEMIT (ACHIEVEMENT 2) by @padosky

It's of great joy that my task1 was approved. Here in this task2 I'll be sharing my experience about the basic security in steemit.

Security is measure to detect, deny and deter malicious, fraudulent or bad actions from occuring. It's important to note that Steemit platform is so much concerned about Security as it's everyone's business.

HAVE YOU RETRIEVED ALL YOUR KEYS ON STEEMIT

Yes, I saved all my keys including the Master key written down and filed.

DO YOU KNOW EACH OF THESE KEY FUNCTIONS AND RESTRICTIONS

Several keys below serves different functions

POSTING KEY:This key allows you to access or log into steemit, post, edit, comment,vote, resteem, vote and even mute other accounts.

ACTIVE KEYThis key is used to for powering up and down on steemit, converting steem dollar to steem. Voting for witnesses and profile update details. It must be kept away since it has much to do with the monetary aspect.

THE OWNER KEYIf you want to reset your account, the owner key is the key to use. Its the most powerful key as it can retrieve a compromised account. So it should be saved offline in a paper and in the drive.

THE MEMO KEYThis is used to encrypt and decrypt of memos that are sent while transaction is ongoing.

THE MASTER KEYThis is the Master of all KEYS. Highest security of all keys. Used for generation of other keys in case of account recovering.

HOW DO YOU PLAN TO KEEP YOUR MASTER PASSWORD

I saved my master password in my drive and also wrote it down in a paper and filed it.

Do you know how to transfer steem token to another steem user account

Yes, i do! Firstly, I'll log in then click in wallet on the user interface seen. A pop up menu which is green in color appears, that's the steem wallet.

click the drop down arrow next to steem tokens, then hit transfer

After that, next is to input username of receiver and number of steem tokens to be sent, then click next, after which I'll renter the memo on the Confirmation page nd hit OK to transfer.

DO YOU KNOW HOW TO POWER UP YOUR STEEM

Yes i do! Still on same Wallet, click on drow down arrow, click power up, input the amount of steem and hit POWER UP

After this, you'l notice your steem has converted to steem power sp.
