BITCOIN EXPLAINED IN AN ILLUSTRATED TALE FOR CHILDREN

in #bitcoin8 years ago

Governments, journalists, experts, economists, and others, have written and lectured on how to understand Bitcoin, or cryptocurrencies in general. But to be honest, probably none of those explanations will be as useful as this illustrated story for children. This story, created by the financial services firm Square, tells the birth of this cryptocurrency. It is written so that even small children can understand it.

The story is titled 'My First Bitcoin and the Legend of Satoshi Nakamoto', in bright and colorful letters. The story has very creative illustrations, full of color and a short sentence that explains the most important thing about this famous coin. Everything was drawn by the brand Cash, which is a Square app to buy and save Bitcoins. In the story, Satoshi Nakamato is mentioned, the anonymous person who created this virtual coin, and of which almost nothing is known.

We leave you here some captures of the story, whose intention is that we all understand what Bitcoin is. And finally we are encouraged to buy a fraction in the Cash app (iOS or Android). In this app we can also make transactions with friends or family. You can see the story in full English here.

How was Bitcoin born?

"No one knows who Satoshi Nakamoto is. But he, she, or they had a vision for a new type of currency in 2008, "explains the story.

bitcoin "This new currency - or cryptocurrency - would not be controlled centrally by any business or government," says the story.

"They called it Bitcoin, and it was a radical new way to market and store value all over the world."

"Bitcoin has a value because there is a limited amount, like a block of gold or silver."

How are Bitcoin created? "Powerful computer networks created every Bitcoin using very complex mathematics. This is called mining!" The story explains that Bitcoin can be purchased at specialized exchange houses.

One of the issues that most confuses people is the volatility of cryptocurrencies. Why do they rise and fall in price? In the story they explain it like this: "Just like gas prices, bitcoin prices can change a lot over time as supply and demand go up and down".
