The Television
While praying before bed, a child asked with devotion:
"Lord, I ask you for something special tonight: turn me into a television. I would like to take his place. I would like to live what TV lives in my house. That is, having a special room for me and bringing all the family members around me.
Be taken seriously when I talk. In the center of attention and be the one everyone wants to hear without interrupting or questioning. I would like to feel the special care that TV receives when something does not work.
"And having my dad's company when he gets home, even if he's tired of work. And may my mother look for me when I'm alone and bored, instead of ignoring me. And may my brothers fight to be with me.
And that I can amuse them all, although sometimes I do not tell them anything. I would like to live the feeling that they leave everything to spend a few moments by my side.
"Lord, I do not ask you much. Just live what any television lives."
