Success is measured by the things you have done compared to what you thought of doing without actually doing them.
Success is what you have achieved compared to the resources that God has given to you. What are you using those gifts that God has given you for?. How many lives have you impacted with the resources God has given you?. That's how success it measured.
Nonetheless, it is very imperative that we advance in life as we grow older. By this I mean, we should step up in every area of our life. Are we students , take over your sphere with the authority God has given you and become successful. The sky is too wide for everybody to fly.
The breakthroughs you will experience in the year 2018 is solely dependent on the V8
you have created. So the question is "what should I do so I can advance in life?". The answer is simple and I will give you some keys that will help you in that regard.
Firstly, the first step to stepping up this year in all your endeavours is by believing in yourself. Self believe is stronger than the power of witchcraft. Once you believe in yourself, you meet challenges and crush them without even thinking twice. When we talk about success, I don't mean it to be only your material possessions which you have acquired but also fulfilling all your plans and purpose for life. Therefore you got to believe in yourself to accomplish all of your set targets. No one else will do that for you.
Secondly, if you want to step up in life, then you need to get rid of fear. The word of God says that's "He has not created us with the spirit of fear but of sound mind" and that is what we need to get rid of all setbacks and challenges. Reading through a book ones day, I discovered that "do not fear is written 365 times in the Bible* which means that we can actually draw strenght from one each day. Fear is a major set back which we all need to confront and not just mask if we want to progress in life.
Thirdly, choose your friends properly. Other people will say it is good to choose your inner circle. If you want to step up in life, you need to choose your friends and not the other way round. Choose friends who have the same mindset and thinking as you . While this may not be applicable 100%, it is necessary to choose friends that have vision in generally and can think at least , bringing ideas that can cause meaningful changes in the community and life in general.
Lastly, you need to rely totally on God. God has already given us His promises and we need to believe and depend on Him if you want to step up in every area of your life. All you need do is to commit your ways unto Him and He will direct your path
You can achieve all that you have planned for your life if you show serious determination towards it. So why not stop complaining and get to working towards making your life better right away by putting God first ?

I really love all the four steps more importantly the last step which is about relying on God. It reminds me of a Scripture in Poverbs 3:5

God created us in His own image and declared us blessed, but the step to the actualization of the blessing depends on us. God has played His own part and He place thje remainig option to succed in our hands. The more we plan for our life and commit everything into God's hands, the more the journey of success becomes easy for us. May we never lost in the road of success in Jesus name

Just like the way the mandate of promoting and spreading the gospel giving to the steemchurch apostles,they tooks steps in order to bring the steemchurch to reality.
Excellent write-up success is not measured with the things you have done and what others have done rather it is measured with the things you have done and the things which should have done, many persons today think if they are doing well by inspection than their neighbors with respect to the cars,houses,degrees they have they have that wrong mindset that they are successful,but they forget this one thing that you can always find someone lesser than you. Take a scenario a bird moving with chickens and being faster than them in locomotion doesn't term that bird successful,what actually brands the bird a success is living out it's potential for flight.I end with this you can be successful in the wrong thing to avoid such purposeless lifestyle in line with the author we should totally depend on God to know your purpose and to be successful in it.
