4 But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law,
5 To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons

The fullness of time is the due time for manifestation that is the time in Gods programme for the manifestation of His desire upon the life of a man . Man must have tried so many things, explored so many options and alternatives , sought for help in so many ways to no avail because the fullness of time is not yet to come.

The fullness of time also is a time when fully maturity is attained, for every heart desire of a man there is a level of maturity needed to be attained in order to effectively manage such desire, but not until God is convinced that we can manage it. God is not obliged to deliver on such a promise. God promised Abraham the land of Canaan when he was but a single man, but there is a set time in Gods programme that His promises will come to pass. This promise was attached to the promise of Multiplication without which the land cannot be acquired.

12 Now the Lord had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee:
2 And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:
3 And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.

This was the initial promise God made with Abraham, note; the promise of the land came first and becoming a great nation was the second but Abraham must first be multiples before the land can be possessed. The promise of land was received by Abraham but not really meant for him but his generations yet unborn . The promise was later re-affirmed.

3 And Abram said, “You have given me no children; so a servant in my household will be my heir.”
4 Then the word of the Lord came to him: “This man will not be your heir, but a son who is your own flesh and blood will be your heir.”
5 He took him outside and said, “Look up at the sky and count the stars—if indeed you can count them.” Then he said to him, “So shall your offspring[d] be.”

The above scripture is the promise of fruitfulness given to Abraham that he will become the father of many nation's, that his seed will be too numerous to be numbered. The following verses re-affirmed the promise of the land and the appointed time for the fulfillment of the promise.

7 He also said to him, “I am the Lord, who brought you out of Ur of the Chaldeans to give you this land to take possession of it.”

8 But Abram said, “Sovereign Lord, how can I know that I will gain possession of it?”

9 So the Lord said to him, “Bring me a heifer, a goat and a ram, each three years old, along with a dove and a young pigeon.”

10 Abram brought all these to him, cut them in two and arranged the halves opposite each other; the birds, however, he did not cut in half. 11 Then birds of prey came down on the carcasses, but Abram drove them away.
12 As the sun was setting, Abram fell into a deep sleep, and a thick and dreadful darkness came over him.
13 Then the Lord said to him, “Know for certain that for four hundred years your descendants will be strangers in a country not their own and that they will be enslaved and mistreated there. 14 But I will punish the nation they serve as slaves, and afterward they will come out with great possessions

Afterwards , God promised a return to the land of Canaan in the fourth generation of Abraham and each generation stands for a hundred years. This means that there is a fullness of time, when Israel will be ready and matured to take over the land. Galatians 4 vs 2, the second dimension to this is that the Amorites also had an expiry date for them to be dethroned from the land. There was a set time for all of these to happen.

But in the fourth generation they shall come hither again; for the iniquity of Amorites is not yet full.

Genesis 15 vs 16

After this re-affirmed of the promises , because Abraham believe God to deliver on His promises and it was counted unto Abraham for righteouness (Genesis 15 vs 6). God made it a covenant to Abraham.

18 In the same day the Lord made a covenant with Abram, saying, Unto thy seed have I given this land, from the river of Egypt unto the great river, the river Euphrates:
19 The Kenites, and the Kenizzites, and the Kadmonites,
20 And the Hittites, and the Perizzites, and the Rephaims,
21 And the Amorites, and the Canaanites, and the Girgashites, and the Jebusites.

That's the much we will take on the topic today .

God is not a man, and no matter how long his promises may take, they're always fulfilled in the fullness of time, at God's right time.

Thank you for writing, and congratulations on hitting rep 60

The promises and propositions from above have a time and it is God's time that is perfect. Thank you for sharing blessings

Thanks @owoblow-steemit for sharing...
Everything under the sun has a set time....when the time is due it will manifest.....

What a beautiful exposition on the fullness of time! Truly, there's divine timing to outstanding occurrences in our lives, based on God's promises. And this, we must be sensitive to. It's our sincere prayer that God will help us all to be cognizant of his timing; plans and purpose for our lives per time in Jesus name!
