Shake Up in Crypto Market

The roller coaster ride continues for the cryptocurrency market. After they moon shot in prices and number of new coins entering the market last year, they have experienced steep price slumps and a number of coins are being delisted.

The number of coins was over 1,500 but Bittrex announced that it will remove a total of 82 coins. The majority of coins are being removed because the were abandoned by their developers or they were implicated with scams.

At the height of the crypto craze the total market capitalization reached $835 billion. In a three month period, the cap was reduced to about $557 billion. Several coins did not survived the crash. Bitcoin, even though it took a hefty decline is beginning to make some gains albeit not comparable to the gains it made in 2017.
